The bernette 62 AIRLOCK is designed to give garments and stretchy fabrics a clean, professional finish with less effort and frustration. As the dedicated coverstitch machine in the bernette b60 series, it combines advanced convenience features with the precision needed for modern garment sewing.
The standout feature is the automatic air threader, which makes threading the looper incredibly fast and simple. With the push of a button, air guides the thread through the looper path—eliminating one of the biggest pain points of coverstitch sewing.
The machine offers 4 coverstitches and 3 chainstitches, giving you the flexibility to create durable hems, decorative finishes, and professional-looking seams on a wide variety of fabrics—especially jerseys, knits, and athletic materials.
A built-in freearm makes it easier to sew cuffs, sleeves, and smaller tubular projects, while the included slide-on extension table and coverstitch insert expand the workspace for larger garments and home décor projects.
For maximum comfort and control, the machine includes the Free Hand System (FHS) with knee lifter, allowing you to raise and lower the presser foot hands-free while keeping both hands on your fabric.
The 5 LED lights brightly illuminate the large sewing area, helping you clearly see stitches and fabric details during detailed work.
