Floriani Fusible Bold Tearaway — Heavy-Duty Support for Dense Embroidery

Floriani Fusible Bold Tearaway is a heavy-weight embroidery stabilizer designed to support large or dense embroidery designs on woven fabrics such as cotton, duck cloth, twill, denim, and towels. When fused to the fabric, it provides added stability and control, helping embroidery stitch cleanly and accurately. A single layer will support approximately 12,000 stitches in a well-digitized design.

The fusible coating helps prevent fabric stretching and shifting during hooping and stitching, resulting in clean, precise outline stitches and professional-looking embroidery. This added stability makes it an excellent choice for projects where accuracy is critical. Once embroidery is complete, Floriani Fusible Bold Tearaway features a multi-directional tear, allowing it to be removed cleanly from around the design for a crisp finish on both the front and back of the fabric. A non-fusible version is also available.

How to Use Floriani Fusible Bold Tearaway

1. Fuse one layer of the stabilizer to the wrong side of the fabric or item to be embroidered.

   • Use a piece at least one inch larger than the outer perimeter of the hoop for proper stabilization.

   • Important: Set your iron to a low temperature (silk setting). Do not allow the iron to touch the fusible coating directly. Press from the fabric side or use a press cloth (muslin or cotton).

2. Hoop the stabilized fabric.

3. Embroider the design as usual.

4. Remove the hoop from the machine and take the fabric out of the hoop.

5. Tear away as much of the stabilizer as possible. If needed, gently re-heat the stabilizer to help release it from the fabric.

Helpful Notes

• All irons heat differently. The temperature listed above is a starting point.

• If you are not achieving a secure fuse, gradually increase the iron temperature until a proper bond forms between the fabric and stabilizer.
