Floriani Heat N Gone® – Heat-Removable Embroidery Topping & Stabilizer
Floriani Heat N Gone® is a clear, easy-to-see embroidery topping that keeps stitches sharp and elevated—perfect for high-pile fabrics like towels, terry cloth, velvet, fleece, wool, satin, and other materials that can’t get wet. The embossed backside prevents curling and shifting, making it simple to position and remove without stretching your fabric or distorting your stitches.
Use Heat N Gone® to trace intricate quilting patterns, create guides for free-motion quilting, or keep loops from poking back through on textured materials. It removes cleanly with a low- to medium-temperature dry iron, making it ideal for moisture-sensitive fabrics and last-minute projects.
Why Sewists Love Heat N Gone®

Embossed backing prevents slipping, curling, or shifting

How to Use as a Topping
Place Heat N Gone® on top of your hooped fabric (bumpy side down) and secure the corners.
Stitch your embroidery design as usual.
Tear away as much excess topping as possible.
Use a cool, silk-setting iron to remove remaining stabilizer—touch the iron tip directly to the surface.
How to Use as a Stabilizer
Hoop one piece of Heat N Gone® with your fabric (bumpy side to the fabric), using a piece at least 1″ larger than your hoop.
Embroider your design.
Tear away the extra stabilizer.
Remove remaining bits with a low/medium-heat dry iron.
Tips for Best Results
Always test removal on scrap fabric first.
Clean your iron easily using a hot setting and a wet towel (or use Dritz/Niagara iron cleaners).
A stainless steel iron gives the smoothest removal.
Stick to low/medium heat—high heat can liquefy the product and make it melt into your stitches.
