Floriani Hi-Loft Dimensional Topping is a unique, fibrous 100% water-soluble embroidery topping designed to lift satin stitches and create a soft, “puffy” three-dimensional effect. With its fleece-like texture, Hi-Loft expands stitches as they form, adding depth and dimension to embroidery without the stiffness or bulk of traditional foam products.
This versatile topping can be used with most embroidery designs, including logos, satin borders, lettering, appliqués, and lace. No changes to your embroidery designs or fonts are required—simply stitch as usual. The wider the satin stitch, the more dramatic the raised effect. Once embroidery is complete, Hi-Loft rinses away cleanly with water, leaving crisp, professional results and no residue behind.
Hi-Loft Dimensional Topping is also ideal for creating free-standing lace with 3D texture, decorative trims, and dimensional decals when used with compatible stabilizers. Its ease of use makes it a favorite for embroiderers who want bold, dimensional results with minimal setup.

Hoop your stabilizer and fabric as normal.
Use an embroidery needle appropriate for your design (no special needle required).
Place a piece of Hi-Loft Dimensional Topping over the area you want to add dimension.
Tip: Secure the corners with RNK Stitch Perfection Tape or Quilters Select Fabric Glue to hold it in place while stitching.
Embroider the design and remove the project from the hoop.
Trim away as much excess Hi-Loft as possible around the design.
Rinse the fabric and remaining Hi-Loft using lukewarm water, gently rubbing to remove visible topping.
Helpful Tip:
Save trimmed pieces from your project. Use Floriani Wet N Gone Tacky® tape to join pieces together and reuse them in future projects.
Place one or two layers of Floriani Wet N Gone® stabilizer in the embroidery hoop.
Follow steps 2–6 listed above.
