Floriani Perfect Stick Cutaway is the ideal stabilizer for machine embroidery and embellishment on challenging, hard-to-hoop fabrics such as sweater knits, stretch velour and velvet, leather, pleather, vinyl, ultra-suede, and more. This needle-friendly adhesive cutaway securely holds delicate or non-fibrous materials in place without the risk of distortion or hoop damage. Designed with elongated fibers, Perfect Stick Cutaway provides the proper support needed for specialty fabrics like leather and vinyl while maintaining a soft, comfortable feel against the skin.

Supports up to approximately 12,000 stitches in well-digitized designs
Place one sheet of Perfect Stick Cutaway in the embroidery hoop with the paper side up.
Score the release paper lightly with a T-pin or sharp tip.
Peel back the paper to expose the adhesive surface.
Position your fabric or item on the sticky surface, smoothing out wrinkles.
Use your machine’s baste feature for extra stability when possible.
Embroider your design.
If the design is large, dense, or poorly digitized, float an additional layer of Floriani Medium Tearaway beneath the hoop for added support.
After stitching, remove the item from the hoop and trim the stabilizer close to the design.
For lycra, spandex blends, or extremely stretchy knits, fuse one layer of Floriani No Show Nylon Mesh Fusible to the back of the fabric before sticking it to Perfect Stick Cutaway. Make sure your mesh piece is at least one inch larger than your design.
Perfect Stick Cutaway is washer- and dryer-friendly, though pre-testing on your project materials is recommended.
