Floriani Power Mesh Fusible is a 1.5 oz sheer cutaway available in natural, and onyx.
Unlike traditional cutaway stabilizers, this No-Show Mesh Fusible will not shadow through on light-colored fabrics, lightweight cottons, or stretchy knits—making it a top choice for children’s clothing, baby garments, and any project where softness and comfort matter. Its gentle drape and superior holding power make it an essential in any collection of embroidery stabilizers.
The unique fusible backing eliminates the need for basting or messy spray adhesives that can leave residue on your needle and machine. By fusing the stabilizer directly to the back of your garment, you get smooth, even support that prevents distortion during hooping and stitching. Because the stabilizer adheres to the entire embroidery area—not just “spot tacked” like sprays—your fabric stays perfectly aligned for crisp, professional results. A non-fusible version is also available.
This stabilizer will support 6,000–8,000 stitches on a standard, well-digitized 4″ x 4″ embroidery design, and the fusible version doubles as a soft cover for scratchy stitches against the skin—ideal for sensitive fabrics and kids’ wear.
Cut a piece at least one inch larger than your hoop.
Fuse the stabilizer to the back of the garment using a low-temperature, dry iron (260°F, silk setting). Be sure the iron touches the mesh—not the adhesive side.
Hoop your garment and prepare the embroidery design as usual.
Important: For dense designs exceeding 6,000 stitches or for poorly digitized files, “float” one layer of Floriani Medium Tearaway between the hoop and machine bed for every additional 8,000 stitches. Remove the tearaway after stitching; the soft mesh will remain against the skin.
When finished, gently reheat the fusible mesh to peel it back to the design area for clean trimming.
When embroidering knits, always use a topping for crisp detail.
For large or challenging designs, cross two layers of fusible mesh—one at 90° and one at 45°—to add stability without bulk.
