Its unique blend of half soluble and half non-soluble fibers allows you to remove the stabilizer cleanly without distorting delicate stitches. The remaining non-soluble fibers stay behind within the design, providing long-term support so your embroidery maintains its shape throughout the life of the garment. Any extra remnants around the embroidery will naturally wash out during laundering.
For fabrics that stretch, shift, or are loosely woven, try the fusible version of Stitch N Wash®. By fusing it to the back of the material, you’ll achieve better hooping stability without using basting sprays or adhesives that can gunk up needles.

Hoop one layer of Stitch N Wash® with your fabric, using a piece at least 1″ larger than your embroidery frame.
Stitch your design.
Tip: For dense or high stitch-count designs (over 8,000 stitches), “float” an extra layer under the hoop for each additional 8,000 stitches.
Remove the hoop from the machine and garment.
Dampen the edges of the design with a sponge, foam brush, or envelope sealer. Allow ~10 seconds for the water-soluble fibers to activate.
Tear away the stabilizer.
Remaining fibers will wash out in the laundry with mild detergent and agitation.
Fuse one layer of the stabilizer to the back of the fabric, using a piece at least 1″ larger than your hoop.
Important: Use a low-temp (260°F, silk) iron setting and press from the fabric side or with a press cloth. Do not place the iron directly on the stabilizer.
Hoop the fused fabric, aiming for “tight as a drum” tension.
