I can’t wait to see how many people are meeting the UFO challenge, and are going to “show and tell” their OFUs (Object Finished Up) at February Sew Fun!
Before we get to the Show and Tell part of the Sew Fun program, though, we get to see what our Sew Fun presenter has cooked up for us. Here’s a couple of previews of what’s in store for you.
Kimberbell Crossbody Bag Trio: Nautical Collection
This pattern, Crossbody Bag, is Volume 1 of a planned series of crossbody bags made in the hoop. This collection has 3 different nautical-inspired designs — each in 4 sizes! You’ll receive design files for 12 bags! Each one is fully lined, and no raw edges or stabilizer is showing. It’s all done in one hooping. Optional steps for adding straps to your bag are also included. No matter what format your embroidery machine takes, you’ll find the right files on the cd. File formats include: ART, DST, EXP, HUS, JEF, PES, VIP, VP3, and XXX.
Get Ready for St. Patrick’s Day
We believe anyone can quilt. Yes, anyone. No matter what your quilt “skill level” is, we are certain you will love using Patch Abilities patterns to create quilted treasures. Why? Because they write their patterns with the beginner in mind. So, at the Christmas Open Houses, last December, our Sew Fun presenters showed us a series of monthly minis from Patch Abilities. Monthly Mini’s are a set of 12 seasonal beginner friendly applique patterns. This year our Sew Fun presenters will be featuring a series of mini wall hangings from Patch Abilities. These minis will be holiday or seasonal focus and our presenters will show us one each month — in advance of the next holiday/occasion.
At the January Sew Fun, we saw the Valentine-themed “Tweet Hearts” just in time to make one for that special Valentine. For February, our Sew Fun presenter is making the March design of the Monthly Mini Series#11 featuring a luck o’ the Irish boot scroll and of course shamrocks! This applique pattern includes complete quilting and binding instructions. It’s the perfect one-day project for any skill level, especially beginner quilters. This pattern can be made up in wool (6″x18″) or cotton (6″x22”).
In addition to the pattern, we’ll even have the hanger for this mini wall hanging available for purchase.
Check out more Patch Abilities or Kimberbell patterns and ask your favorite Rocky Mountain Sewing and Vacuum store to order some for you.
